Well, It started off like any other love story. Boy meets girl, girl falls in love with boy. We soon get married and have a few kids and life is good.
We bought our fixer upper 3yrs into our marriage and 2 months into my 1st pregnancy. Did I mention I was pregnant with twins? Yup, thats right twin boys.
I was on an incredible high. New home and a new family on its way. I couldn’t be happier. Then reality sunk in. There wasn’t enough money in the budget for a new kitchen, update the bathrooms, and replace the flooring. The budget went from “fixer upper budget” to “baby budget”. The plans for our dream home was put on hold. Sad face.
Fast forward 4yrs and now I am a busy, tired and sleep deprived housewife and mother of 4 beautiful kids. My twin boys are Emilio 4, and Juan Carlos 4, and daughters Vanessa 2, and Vidal 1.
I truly have a blessed life. But I won’t sugar coat it. Its pretty difficult holding down the fort with 4 kids on one income. I had to think of something and fast! And that’s when the light bulb went off in my head. My DIY mentality kicked in. I started off with small simple projects. Pretty much anything that can save us a little extra money. That way we can spend it on more enjoyable things. (like shoes and our mortgage) Lol. I don’t have any special skills but I do have the drive!
